The Union Minister of Shipping, Shri G.K. Vasan informed the Rajya Sabha today in a written reply to a question that the Ministry of Shipping has come up with a Maritime Agenda 2010-20 .
Maritime Agenda is a comprehensive document encompassing all aspect of Maritime Sector including Shipping and Port Sectors.
This Maritime Agenda 2010-20 has a specific chapter on Maritime Policy. As the new comprehensive Maritime Agenda subsumes the proposed policy, it is felt that there is no need to have another policy document.
